(Reblogged from budgiebin)

So I was all HEY, Mom is showing up tomorrow!  I will make cookies for her because I can make them and things!

And then this happened.

They taste okay, I guess.  But for now the rest of the dough is going in the fridge so I can try to see if it works better/is fixable tomorrow. <.<  I want pretty cookies, not mutant wrinkled pancookies.

Begonia - Looking Glass on Flickr.

So one of my plant orders was a couple of begonias. This is one of them, a cane variety known as “looking glass.” The other one I have is a rex begonia “starry night.”

The reason I got these particular begonias? They are freaking shiny. Like literally. Silver. I had a looking glass one as a kid, but I totally didn’t remember the texture, so I had to take a macro shot of one leaf just to show it. I just think it’s awesome.

And the other little fuzzball.

These little boogers are so damn cute.

Today is officially Bugday.  At California Blvd & Fair Oaks there was a swarm of bees.  I drove through it.  But that was when I noticed the moth.  It’s a fairly good sized moth, pretty, and obviously very good at holding on to things.  Said moth was just chilling by the mirror and stayed there from beeswarm to Target to Fresh & Easy to home.

The parking ticket guy at Fresh & Easy was amused by the errandmoth as well.  Thankfully said moth did not attempt to enter the vehicle at any point, and it’s theoretically still sitting on my car in the garage now.  Hopefully it’ll find its way out this evening without issue.

Edit: It’s apparently a white-lined sphinx moth!

Asimov, you cannot get any closer to the camera. Seriously.

Why do my animals like sticking their faces in the lens?

What the hell is going on down the block at 2am? Heard a noise, maybe it was someone failing at driving? That’s pretty standard for the this corner, but dunno about down there. Lots of pretty flashy lights, and the upstairs neighborlady was also curious.
